Meet the Leadership Team
At Purposefully Human, we believe that organizations thrive when they put people first. Our team is a group of passionate leaders, thinkers, and doers dedicated to help share the purposefully human ways businesses can approach leadership, culture, and experiences.
With diverse backgrounds in research, design, consulting, and storytelling, we bring a human-centered perspective to everything we do—whether it’s hosting insightful discussions, developing resources, or helping organizations create meaningful change.
We’re here to spark conversations, challenge norms, and champion the power of being purposefully human in everything we do.
Meet the people behind our mission and join us in shaping a more human world of work!
Before this I worked in the fire and rescue service and international crisis/disaster sector. It was during this period I first realised that traditional ways organisations use to understand people were failing and would serve us poorly in the future.
Originally a personal quest, the idea for creating a community only formed a few years ago. But I quickly found many others who shared a conviction that organisations would benefit from bringing a more human perspective to their activities. That belief has only grown and it feels like we are only just at the start of a much needed movement.
I am excited by the potential of Purposefully Human and by what we learn in the process. For example, we constantly challenge ourselves to think What is the Purposefully Human way to do anything.
Oh, and I also enjoying walking, miss having a dog, am learning to draw, discovered that I now dad dance, like to travel and want to know more about how to use spices when cooking.
Felix is the founder of Groooooooow®, a boutique consultancy specialized in human-centric and purpose-led business transformation. His mission as a consultant and coach is to “help organisations and individuals to grow into their best selves” – creating preferable futures, great brands and customer experiences, nourishing working environments, sustainable competitive advantage, and profitable growth.
Felix has been with Purposefully Human from the start, being one of the original founders. He believes that we need to “re-humanize” every aspect of life to make the world a better place (again). To also deal well with the downsides, he founded rslnc.com, a platform for humans to build more resilience and better deal with life’s challenges and adversities. Moreover, his wife and him founded a fashion label for sustainable clothing, Sal Sol Sul.
When not on his mission as an entrepreneur, consultant or coach, he spends his time as an artist, musician, traveler, photographer, son, partner, father and friend – preferably accompanied by good food & beverages.
Rebecca is a business psychologist who works with humans in organisations to understand their customers and colleagues, ultimately creating actionable strategies that foster human-centric cultures and enhance business performance. Her most fulfilling moments stem from observing the breakthroughs as her collaborators gain a deeper insight into one another, empowering them to work together, innovate, and achieve greater performance.
A curiosity about why, despite significant investment, so many customer and people experience strategies falter in delivering meaningful results, coupled with frustration with technology companies dominating the conversation about customer experience, led Rebecca to seek out like-minded individuals. When she discovered David’s initial post on the CXPA chat page, she sensed she had found a kindred spirit. Upon discovering David’s initial post on the CXPA chat page, she felt she had found a kindred spirit. Their conversations deepened as Rebecca planned her move from Australia to the UK in 2023, gaining momentum as she supported David’s mission to bring a human experience community to life.
Networking with like-minded individuals has been central to Rebecca’s professional growth, providing her with inspiration and insights that she has implemented in various organisations. She aspires for the Purposefully Human community to be a place where those embracing human-centricity can connect, grow, and emphasise the importance of placing humans at the heart of organisations.
Then I ran into David Wales who had an idea that later become known as PurposeFully Human. To be candid I didn’t know exactly where the conversation would take us, but along with several others we co-founded an international, grassroots community and agreed to explore and adventure together. Thomas Kuhn, in his landmark study of the history of science The Structure of Scientific Revolutions, declared that a theory will prevail until another one comes along that better explains the domain; we now observe this in the phrase Kuhn coined, ‘paradigm shift’. I now have my ‘better theory’ and North Star, PurposeFully Human.
PurposeFully Human thinking embraces new thinking, including: 1. Recognizing that humans bring so much more than the simply the skills corporations assign to them; 2. All experiences at their core are human to human; 3. Humans are at their best when engaging with curiosity and interacting with dignity, respect, and civility; and 4. While technology has a part to play, experiences must first be conceived for humans. The more time I spend with my PurposeFully Human friends, the more I realize four things: 1. Legacy paradigms are powerful and deeply ingrained in our lives and thinking; 2. It takes intentionality to break free from legacy paradigms; 3. The more I think about a PurposeFully Human world, the more it gets under my skin and increasingly unable to believe that legacy ways are inevitable; and 4. We can be so much more by embracing PurposeFully Human paradigms, not just for us individually but also for our organizations and overall in society.
To illustrate, look at the practice of applying for a job with many companies in 2025, a process many colleagues describe as ‘dehumanizing’. Applications don’t get acknowledged, candidates are ‘ghosted’ at all stages of the process, little feedback (if any) is given, and to add insult to injury, many listings aren’t even for real jobs. We can do better!! All applications can be acknowledged, the process can be clearly described and rigorously followed, corporations can commit to providing feedback, and all openings could have real jobs behind them. None of this is rocket science, but it is a very different paradigm than what prevails now. A ‘rehumanized’ process is better for everyone.
As a grassroots organization PurposeFully Human welcomes all who are interested in making human fullness the centerpiece of life, work, and organizations. I am very proud of what the PurposeFully Human community aspires to and my involvement is among the most fulfilling things I’ve done.
Viktoria is most proud of her ability to bring people together through storytelling and design, creating meaningful conversations that lead to real change. She believes that intentional, human-centered approaches can transform not only businesses but also the lives of the people within them.
Outside of her work, Viktoria finds joy in writing, reading, and embracing healthy competition whether it’s a board game, a race, or a game of pickleball. She’s always seeking new ways to learn, grow, and understand what makes us, at our core, purposefully human.
