When asking “Why should any experience be human?” it is difficult to stay away from more fundamental questions around ethics and morale. “Don’t we deserve as human beings to not be treated in un-human ways?” or “Isn’t general ethical considerations demanding for such an approach?”

In many ways, the contrast to reality couldn’t be sharper, given the experiences we make as customers, patients, employees, etc. every day and that we often perceive as being totally “inhuman”?

So, does any attempt to make experiences more human be routed in some mutual ethical understanding?
